Our Curriculum
|
| The Enaction Curriculum
attempts to develop the capacities for thinking and problem solving and to
provide stimulating and challenging knowledge. The Enaction
Curriculum is based on Enaction Theory (Ohlsson, 1983), (Newell & Simon,
1972) and domain specific knowledge (Glaser, 1984). Enaction theory
postulates that thinking is a matter of running a simulation in one's
head. The three steps involved are creating a mental model,
manipulating that model, and developing a strategy for problem solving.
