Summer Reading
It’s also time to start thinking about summer reading. It is important
for students to keep reading through the summer to retain their reading
skills. The Tulsa City-County
Library has a wonderful summer reading program. This year the theme
is “Catch
the Reading Bug.”
By visiting the public library four times and reading just eight books,
kids can earn a medal of achievement as well as entertainment and food
coupons. Children who read an additional 12 books will receive an extra
prize.
Many bookstores and movie theaters also offer special summer reading
programs with prizes for kids. Be sure to check them out!
